This is from a woman i respect so much on facebook. We have never met but i feel a true connection with her and by her fruit, i know she is a woman that loves and fears God. I have read her posts over time and every time i get blessed by her honest words on issues that relate to family and our walk as Christians. This post today will bless many women that have struggled with their purpose in life and help most families to set thir priorities right as it comes to raising their children. God bless you Octavia Vance for this inspiring and thought provoking masterpiece.

You can find many imperfections in my life and in the life of my husband and children! But that's ok. He and I belong to God and we are raising our children up in the Lord! But here is one thing I have found, when your worship together, your children will learn the ways of the Lord.

My children, (3 of the 4 who are ages 3, 5 and 7) know how to pray. They know how to pray for each other, for us and others.

Recently our children went to stay with their grandparents while hubby and I had a "date night on fumes". LOL! When we went to pick them up my father-in-law said, "Those children know how to pray. I told them I had a headache and Prince immediately laid hands on my forehead and said, "Feel better GrandDaddy in Jesus name" and then one after the other Princess and Precious came and prayed their own prayer for healing as well, he said. You all don't know how well that did my heart!

If I fail in anything else there are 3 things that will make all other failure disappear in my eyes. That I succeed in my marriage, that I succeed in raising up Godly children who serve the Lord with their lives and that I live in and be an example of Christ until I leave this earth. Those are my main goals in this life. Do I have other goals? Sure! But none of my goals matter much when it comes to the three I mentioned before.

Whether we have money or we don't have money, we will worship the Lord as a family. Whether we have cars and even when we didn't have cars, we worshiped and will continue to worship the Lord as a family. Whether everything is good or when everything is not good, we will STILL worship the Lord together. Whether we're in a big building, a small building, our home or no building at all, WE WILL WORSHIP THE LORD AS A FAMILY! ~ OEV

Deut 6:5-9 (ESV), "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates".

John 4:24, "God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth".
