I thought I should share this:

In a marriage relationship or any relationship for that matter, things happen, sometimes, we are so pained by something our spouse or love ones do that we rant and rave plus say things we often regret. Overtime, I have learnt this powerful truth from my destiny helper ( my husband) that whenever you have such conflicts, it pays to always seperate the person from the event.

Learn to deal with the event with maturity and leave the person with the lesson to be better instead of bitter. Lets learn not to escalate issues. Remember smoke is not necessarily fire. Learn to keep small issues small instead of sweating it and making a big deal out of it. God help us all. Selah.

Note: This well applied to conflict may just be all some couples need to have a better marriage. Apart from couples, this applies to siblings, coworkers and other close relationships. May God grant us wisdom to do what is right always.
