WAITING FOR GOD'S TIME

Happy mid month to us all, i trust we are all doing great.May the remaining days of this month be glorious for us all in Jesus name amen.

I was at a prayer meeting recently and i was sharing an article i had read from the Proverbs 31 Ministries about timing; the writer of the article spoke about how her parents got her a car when she turned 18 , and thinking of it, she said, that car meant independence of some sort for her at that time, but if this same car had been given to her at age 6, it would probably have ruined her. After i shared this, one of my praying partner also shared this about waiting, saying he had been on the waiting issue for some time; some times, he is discouraged but eventually, waiting for God's time pays just as a farmer from planting different crops at a particular time waits patiently for harvest. So there is a sowing period, then the waiting period and harvest eventually.

To take an example from the bible, David as a young man, was anointed to be King but it took him years to ascend the throne. I am sure many of us would have tried doing things our way, if we were David, but no, David waited for his time and became King eventually.

This season, i believe we should learn to wait on God as the bible says in Isaiah 40 vs 31; Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary and they shall walk and not faint.

God wants us to wait and trust Him more, we must know that we are not fast food Christians, if some of us get some of the things we are asking God for now, it may stop us from serving God or even kill us, God forbid. May God give us the grace to wait for His time, like Abraham, Ruth, Elizabeth and even Esther the queen.

Do you know...The bible says at the right time or at the fullness of time, Elizabeth had a child. Luke 1 - 57 and in 58, those that heard her story rejoiced with her.

Lets know that it takes different crops time to grow and reach maturity, those that plant corn can eat it within months unlike those that plant orange, mango or palm trees.

Prayer Point - Ask God to give us grace to wait on Him indeed. Lets ask Him to grant us the fruit of the spirit that is long suffering. Lets pray that our helpers of destiny will come to our help on time in Jesus name amen.

Action - Learn to praise God as you wait, the waiting period is our growth period, so lets learn to grow up happily.

God bless us all as we wait upon the Lord.

I love the car illustration, it was so on point.

Each time i get anxious i remember two of my fave verses of all times - Ecl 3:11 He makes all things beautiful in his time and Genesis 21:2 ... So Sarah conceived and bore a son to Abraham in his old age, at the "appointed time".

............He's definitely working it out and at the appointed time it shall come forth.

Nice one.
