Another bonus post from Next Generations of Fathers on Facebook! Enjoy it and learn to be a person of Influence!

There is an account in 2 Sam 23:9-39..which talks about David's mighty men..these were men that were rejects initially, to use modern day terms..they were street kids, area boys..good for nothing people! They all gathered under David and he became their the sheeps he tended..he saw their pain, their hunger, their cries and he reached out to this men that they became mighty men of valour! Rejects became men of valour, noble..great men..all because somebody believed in them and encouraged them, he influenced their thinking so much, that those that wanted to kill his enemies were stopped in their tracks and told to leave vengence to God....

There is an account in verse 13 through to 17, when David sighed that he wanted water and three of them left their camp and crossed enemies territory just to get the water for him to drink..David refused to drink the water and instead poured it out unto the Lord..but talk about influence! those men were ready to lay their lives for David!

So today..who has encouraged you to be the best of you..who have you encouraged? who look up to you and can jump when you say so gladly!..who have you supported that the person can say..if not for you..i would have ended up on the street?...lets think through and start living a life of influence..that was what Jesus did that till date over 2000 years after his walk on earth..people have not recovered from His influence!

Do you know..the bible records "how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him". Acts 10:38.

...If you are the smartest, brightest, richest in your circle of need to change circle!

Prayer Point - Ask God to help you influence others positively. Ask Him to change your circle of friends if they are not adding value to you! Pray that you will be the right influence to your family and those around you!

I agree totally in developing leaders of integrity who can influence the society starting with their circle of friends.
